So what did the senator mean when he said this in his conversation with “Joe the Plumber”?
Let me tell you what he did not mean: Opportunity.
If you go back to the video or transcript of the conversation, Barack Obama tells “Joe” that his business would be taxed but in the process, the little guys who use his business would have more money to spend there. (My paraphrasing)
Well, what that means is that Obama will take from “Joe” and his prosperity in the form of taxes and give some of that money to those less fortunate in the form of tax breaks, tax relief, or assistance programs so that they can then afford to use “Joe’s” services. And the more they use “Joe”, the more he makes, and the more he makes, the more he’s taxed, and the more he’s taxed, the more there is to be spread around to those less-than-successful in the community.
Obamanomics at its best!
Ladies and gentlemen, this is not even socialism. This is nothing more than a politician telling people what they want to hear to get their vote. And I can’t fault Barack for that—show me a politician who doesn’t do that and I’ll show you a politician who is not running for office.
